American Shortcake

Bright and Patriotic for dessert.

Ingredients:

• 1 box Baker's Corner Patriotic Confetti Cake Mix*
• 1 1/4 cups water
• 4 Goldhen Large Eggs, Whites only
• 1/3 cup Carlini Vegetable Oil
• 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
• 2 cups fresh strawberries, cut into fourths
• 1 7-oz. can Friendly Farms Aerosol Whipped Cream
• Baker's Corner Patriotic Sprinkle Jar*

Directions:

1. Prepare cake according to box instructions using the water, eggs, and vegetable oil using a 9 x 13 pan. Let cool completely (approx. 30 minutes).
2. Cut cake into 1-inch cubes and divide into 12 equal portions.
3. In 6 small glass bowls, create equal layers amongst the glasses as follows: cake, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1/3 cup strawberries, whipped cream (use enough to cover berries) and repeat each once more.
4. Sprinkle with Patriotic Sprinkles.
