How to Prepare Cantaloupe

  • Clean and sanitize the cutting area and utensil.
  • Store the cut cantaloupe at 45 degrees or lower. If the cut cantaloupe can't be held at that temperature for more than four hours, throw it away.

How to Choose a Cantaloupe

  • Cantaloupes should be fragrant, symmetrical, and heavy for their size with a yellow or cream undertone and no visible bruises.
  • The stem should give in to gentle pressure.
