Taffy Apple Cones
Creamy, crunchy and satisfying, presented to look like an indulgent ice cream cone!
- Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Combine drained pineapple with marshmallows and refrigerate.
- In a saucepan, combine reserved pineapple juice, egg, sugar, flour and vinegar. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring frequently. Refrigerate mixture
8 hours or overnight.
- In a large bowl, combine marshmallow mixture, cooked mixture, peanuts, apples and whipped topping. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
- To assemble: Use an ice cream scoop to place equal portions of taffy apple salad on top of each cone or into waffle bowls. Drizzle each portion with 1 teaspoon of caramel topping and top each with a maraschino cherry.
