Mulled Wine


  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Reserve.
  2. Place the remaining ingredients in a separate saucepan, warm over low heat for 30 minutes to infuse the spices. Do not boil.
  3. Add the sugar water and stir. Cool for 5 minutes, and strain mixture.
  4. Garnish each glass with fresh citrus slices and a cinnamon stick.

1/2 cup water

750 mL Winking Owl Cabernet Sauvignon

1 orange, cut into wedges

1 lemon, cut into wedges

6 whole cloves

3 whole cinnamon sticks

3/4 teaspoon Stonemill Essentials Ground Ginger*

1/4 teaspoon Stonemill Essentials Pure Vanilla
