Orange Cranberry Scones
A tart treat, perfect for on the go.
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- In a food processor, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ½ cup sugar and orange zest. Place cranberries in a small bowl and cover with warm water. Drain cranberries, add to flour mixture and pulse gently to combine. Add butter in two stages, pulsing gently to combine, until the size of peas.
- Add milk, pulsing gently. If dough is too sticky, add flour 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Divide dough in half. Pat out dough on a lightly floured surface to a ½-inch thick, 8-inch round. Cut round into 8 wedges. Repeat for other half of dough. Transfer to two parchment-lined baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between each scone. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and bake for 20 minutes.
