Beefed-Up Baked Beans
The best baked beans you'll ever eat!
- Heat oven to 325°.
- In a medium sauté pan, cook bacon over medium-low heat for 15 minutes or until crispy. Remove bacon from pan, drain all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat. Reserve cooked bacon.
- Place ground beef in sauté pan and cook until almost done. Drain if necessary and return meat to pan. Add onions, jalapeños, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook on low for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While meat is cooking, in a small bowl, combine molasses, brown sugar, hot sauce, mustard and barbecue sauce. Stir to combine and add to beef mixture. Stir in beans. Cook on low for 5 minutes.
- Transfer mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil, bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and sprinkle cooked bacon evenly over beans. Serve immediately.
TIP: Prep beans in advance through step 4. Cover and place in the refrigerator. Bake before serving.
