All-Purpose Steak Rub
- In a small bowl, combine all rub ingredients. Use your fingers to make sure that all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. Rub the outside of the steak generously with the rub.
- Pre-heat grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the refrigerator 20 to 30 minutes before cooking.
- Lightly brush the steak with oil. Grill steak until charred on both sides. Then move the steak to a cooler part of the grill to continue cooking for 6 to 7 minutes per side, for medium rare.
- Let steak rest for 7 to 8 minutes. Slice on a bias against the grain. Serve immediately.
TIP: Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. This will make your steak taste like it has been aged.
