Carne Guisada

A warming meat and gravy dish, great served over rice or egg noodles.

Directions:                   

  1. In a medium pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Brown the beef cubes on all sides.   
  2. Add the onion, green peppers, jalapeños and garlic. Sauté until vegetables begin to soften.           
  3. Add the spices and water. Cover, simmer for 3 hours or until meat is tender and liquid is reduced.            
  4. Great served over rice or egg noodles, with sour cream and lime wedges.
