Asparagus and Almonds with a Garlic Cream Sauce

A beautiful and delicious addition to the holiday feast.  

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine onion, garlic and chardonnay. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until liquid is reduced by half.
  2. Add the heavy whipping cream and return to a boil; simmer until reduced by half.
  3. Meanwhile, microwave asparagus spears in a microwave-safe dish with 2 tablespoons of water, covered in plastic wrap.
  4. Drain asparagus, place on serving dish. Spoon sauce over top and sprinkle with almonds.

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup Winking Owl Chardonnay

1 cup Friendly Farms Heavy Whipping Cream

12 ounces Season’s Choice Frozen Asparagus Spears

2 tablespoons water

1/4 cup Southern Grove Sliced Almonds
