Poached Pear and Honey Margarita Slushy
- In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine orange juice, honey, ¼ cup lemon juice and ½ teaspoon chili powder. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat; add pears, simmer until fork tender.
- Pour pears and poaching liquid into a small quart-sized plastic container. Freeze for 5 hours or overnight.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining teaspoon chili powder, salt and sugar. Wet rim of glass with remaining 2 tablespoons lemon juice and dip into mixture. Reserve.
- Transfer frozen mixture into blender, breaking up if necessary. Add ice and tequila, process until smooth. Pour into prepared glasses and serve immediately.
