Sausage and Peppers

Classic slow-cooked Italian taste, made simple.

Directions:

  1. In a large slow cooker, add sausage, garlic, peppers, onion, pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper and wine. Set heat to low and cook for 8 hours.
  2. Bring a medium pot of water to boil and add tortellini, cook according to package instructions.
  3. Drain pasta, place on a plate and top with sausage and peppers. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.

19 ounces Parkview Mild Italian Sausage, cut in half

3 cloves garlic, crushed

1 green pepper, sliced

1 red pepper, sliced

1 yellow pepper, sliced

1 orange pepper, sliced

1 onion, sliced

24 ounces Reggano Mushroom Pasta Sauce

2 teaspoons Stonemill Essentials Italian Seasoning

1 teaspoon Stonemill Essentials Crushed Red Pepper

½ cup Walker Napa Valley Red Wine

9 ounces Priano Three Cheese Tortellini

Reggano Parmesan Cheese, to taste
