We have answers to your Frequently Asked Questions.
Q. Can I receive your weekly ads in the mail?
A. Our weekly ad is distributed only via local newspapers. However, you can click here to view our weekly ads online.
Q. My weekly ads are for the wrong store. How do I fix this?
A. Our site uses a service that looks up your location based on geographical data that your ISP server sends to our server when you visit the site. While mostly accurate, you may be presented with a store that is not actually the closest to your home address. This is because your computer’s IP address is not assigned to the physical address of your home, but to a server of your Internet service provider.
To view the online insert for a different location, please follow these instructions:
- Make sure that you have enabled “cookies” in your computer’s browser. (This is very important and will ensure that next time you visit the site you'll see the ad you’ve selected.)
- Click the "change location" link under the large header towards the top center of your screen “Weekly Ads for... (Location).” (Note: do not enter the ZIP code in the search bar located near the top right of the screen…this search tool is for finding items within the ad, not for searching locations.)
- A pop-up box listing several store locations will open. Towards the bottom of the pop-up box, you will see a field entitled "find a store in a different area." Enter the ZIP code of your choice and click "go." (Make sure you have allowed pop-up windows in your browser settings)
- You will now see an updated listing of store locations closest to the new ZIP code.
- Click the blue "View Weekly Ad" button next to your preferred location to view the ad for the store of your choice.
If you continue to experience difficulty, please change the default browser mode, located in the upper right-hand side of your screen, from “Broadband Mode (Flash)” to “Dial-Up Mode (HTML),” and then repeat the steps above.
Q. How do I increase the font size of my weekly ads?
A. It is possible to adjust the view setting to enlarge an ad. Click to select the ad you wish to view. Once the ad loads, you will see three “views” options in the solid yellow bar above the ad. Select “single page view” to see a larger image.
Q. I am currently having problems viewing my weekly email.
A. If you are experiencing issues viewing images, check your email settings. It is possible that images are being blocked due to settings that your email provider has in place to protect your privacy. If this is the case, you may need to flag ALDI as a safe sender before you will be able to view images. There may also be an option asking you whether or not you wish to allow images from the sender. Select “yes” to view the images.
Q. Is it possible to receive my weekly emails sooner than Wednesday?
A.The majority of our stores begin Special Buys on Wednesdays, therefore the email send date is always a Wednesday.
However, Special Buys are advertised on our website a week in advance, so be sure to visit our site weekly to find our latest and upcoming Special Buys.
Q. I wish to unsubscribe from your email list.
A. To unsubscribe from the ALDI weekly email, click the “unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of each weekly email. Next, enter your email address at the bottom of the weekly email form – under the “Unsubscribe” header – and click “unsubscribe.”
Q. I subscribe to your weekly emails, but I do not receive them in my inbox.
A. Be sure to check your junk mail folder as they could be flagged as SPAM. Also, add firstname.lastname@example.org to your safe-sender list to prevent this from happening again.
Q. What is ALDI?
A. ALDI, the nation’s leading low-price grocer, operates nearly 1,300 stores in 32 states. We take a simple, cost-effective approach to grocery shopping that fundamentally saves shoppers on their grocery bills at the checkout. In fact, smart shoppers have found that switching from national brands to ALDI-exclusive brands can save them up to 50 percent* on more than 1,300 of the most commonly purchased grocery items. More than 25 million customers each month benefit from the ALDI streamlined approach, bringing shoppers the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices every day.

Q. Does ALDI carry brand names?
A. Shoppers will find that more than 90 percent of the products in our stores are ALDI-exclusive brands. ALDI-exclusive brands allow us to provide the same high-quality product without passing on all of the hidden costs associated with things such as marketing and advertising the national brands. Recently, we have added a limited selection of national brands in addition to our ALDI-exclusive brands. We made this decision in response to feedback from our customers, who have strong brand preferences, yet would like to complete more of their grocery shopping at ALDI. We also may carry a national brand if we are not able to create an exclusive product that meets or exceeds the quality and taste of the national brand.
Q. If you don’t have the brands I know, how can I be sure of the quality?
A. ALDI-exclusive brands are manufactured by many of the nation’s leading food producers, and we work closely with suppliers to ensure that the ALDI-exclusive brands meet or exceed the quality of the national name brands.
Additionally, we use the ALDI Test Kitchen to ensure that our products meet or exceed the quality and taste of the national name brands. But the best testament to our quality is our customers and our growth: People would not keep coming back and we wouldn’t be growing the way we are if we didn’t have exceptional, premium products.
Q. You say you have beer and wine, but I can’t find it in my store. Why not?
A. We have to obtain special licenses to sell beer and wine on a store-by-store basis. The process takes longer in some municipalities than others. Rest assured that it’s our desire to provide each ALDI store with our complete product line and we will continue to work to achieve this. Check our store locator to see if your store, or a store near you, carries wine and beer.
Q. How much of my weekly shopping can I do at ALDI?
A. Customers can find the majority of their average weekly shopping list at ALDI, including fresh meats, fruits, vegetables and bakery items. Visit our Grocery Items section to learn more.
Q. Why do I need a quarter to use a shopping cart at ALDI?
A. The shopping cart rental system is one of many ALDI efficiencies that enable us to keep our prices so low. New customers may be surprised by the simple, yet innovative, cart rental system, and usually come to appreciate the system’s many benefits. Not only do customers get their deposit back, there are no stray carts taking up space in the parking lot or causing dents to cars. By not having to hire someone to police the shopping carts, we are able to pass the savings on to our customers.
Q. Why do you charge for shopping bags?
A. At ALDI, we believe in bringing our customers the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices through a number of operational savings. Given our simple approach to retailing, one of the ways in which we help our customers save money is by encouraging them to bring their own shopping bags or to purchase a reusable, long-lasting ALDI bag. The end result is that we not only save our customers money – by avoiding adding the cost of the bag to our prices – but also precious resources.
Q. What forms of payment are accepted at ALDI stores?
A. We accept cash, PIN-based debit cards, the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) and Link cards. At this time we do not accept checks, credit cards or the Women, Infants and Children program (WIC).
Q. I want to contact the store but can’t find a phone number. Why?
A. At ALDI, part of our approach to efficiency that enables us to keep costs low for our customers is to use a streamlined approach to staffing. We typically have three to five employees in a store at any given time, and their focus is on serving customers or restocking shelves. However, we encourage you to contact ALDI Customer Service by email – please click here.
We are available to respond Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST
Q. Are there any holidays that ALDI stores are closed?
A. All ALDI stores are closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
